Dear CCSL Families,

On Saturday June 20th, the CCSL Executive Board made the difficult decision to have eight of our teams to "call their meets concluded" due to weather conditions. This decision was not made lightly; however, the safety of every member of our CCSL community remains our top priority.

We understand that this decision impacts swimmers’ ability to meet Championship Week participation requirements. In recognition of this, the Board has approved the following accommodation:

• If a swimmer was checked in to swim and was available to swim, this meet will count toward the two-meet participation requirement, even if their events were not completed.

We are already working through the adjustments needed to ensure all eligible swimmers are properly accounted for.

Additionally, we want to ensure every athlete still has a fair opportunity to achieve qualifying times. To support this, the following options are available for affected swimmers:

1. Team-Sponsored Time Trials to be completed prior to Tuesday at 2pm
   Teams impacted by the weather may offer time trials that meet all league requirements (timers, officials, and clerk of course). If there are swimmers that wish to participate in the Last Chance Meet - teams are encouraged to complete this by NOON at Monday June 22th.  
2. Last Chance Meet -Swimmers may participate in the Last Chance Meet on Monday, June 20th (this meet does not count towards eligibility requirement of 2 meet minimum) 

Please reach out to your Team President or Team Representative for specific details on what opportunities are being offered by your team.

Important: These accommodations apply only to swimmers who were checked in for their meet and were unable to complete their events due to weather.

If team leadership is able to go the extra mile to provide time trials for affected athletes, CCSL will honor all properly achieved times.

The CCSL Board is committed to working diligently to provide every athlete with the opportunity to meet Championship Series qualifying standards. Please note that due to the potential for the Last Chance Meet to have more swimmers - it is possible this will increase the length of the Last Change Meet so please come prepared to cheer on all of our athletes
